A Winner, a Necklace and a Tour

Did you know I have a flickr group for my Artisan Accent's?  Well, I do.  You can get to it by clicking here, or clicking on the picture at the top right of my blog.  If you use any of my components in your jewelry, you can upload the pictures to the group.  At the end of each quarter, I pick one name from those who entered, and they get $10 off something in my component shop.

I started this because I was soooo very excited to see what other people have made with my designs.  So please enter.  It helps me to get to know you guys better, so I don't feel all alone on this blog;)

The winner of the first quarter of 2012 is Shannon C.  She was chosen the old fashioned name in a hat way- with my five year old picking the winner.
Congrats Shannon!!!!
She entered this lovely necklace, using one of my copper ammonite's.  I just love the colors in this one, the textures.....she's a gal after my own heart!

Now for the necklace I made last night.  I have been wanting to jump back into doing the Art Bead Scene monthly challenge and just haven't had the time.  Well, since I am making jewelry for my shows, I thought I'd do it this month, and what a month to pick.  LOVE the colors from this painting by John William Waterhouse.

Here is my necklace.

Using an Artisan Clay donut along with a Bronze Lichen Donut of my own, and a crawl glaze nugget in purple from Artisan Beads Plus, I added lots of gemstones in greys, purplish mauves, and shades of blue and black.
It's called Gentle Strength.

Last but not least, the Art Bead Love Tour is up for grabs again.  It's pretty heavy from what I hear.  You can read all about what it is on the Love my Art Jewelry blog and you can hop over to Patricia's blog, My life Under the bus to enter for a chance to be next.

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!  Now get out there and enter some groups, challenges and contests!  Good luck!
