Bead Soup Blog Party Reveal!!!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party!

What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?

Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:

~ A focal

~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)

~ Some coordinating spacers or beads

Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.

I was paired up with Lynda Moseley of Diva Designs.  Here is just a sample of what she sent me...you can see ALL the goodies in my post here

She sent me tons of goodies.....and after some postal drama, she got what I sent her......you can read about that here if you want.

Ok- so what did I do with those lovely beads???
Well, I love chunky beads and turquoise, so the first necklace was right up my alley.  It's a choker length, chunky necklace!!!

I used her fabulous faux turquoise bead (oh my word, oh my word....love it), a bronze donut I handstamped, the wonderful fossil coral bead and howlite turquoise she sent me, and bunches of accent beads from my collection and hers.  I picked the toggle clasp and added some silk cord to the piece.  I love this, and it is soooo ME!

Now, the second one was more challenging.  I do not usually do long necklaces (though I am trying to break free of my chains~~~~choker chains to be exact~~~he he, a little bead humor).

Lynda made the shell bead special for me, since I love sea glass and shells.  I also loved her color choices, which were not some I would have paired together.  So all in all, this was a good challenge for me.

I used a lot of the beads and components Lynda sent.  I took the cool sea shell bead and bezled it in copper to match the clasp she provided, and because I wanted it to be extra special.
Now, if you will excuse me, I cannot wait to hop over to Lynda's blog and see what she did with my beads.  Thanks for stopping and happy blog hopping!

Come see what the rest of us made!
