Hearts Overflowing

Valentines Day is right around the corner and you know what that means, time to make the hearts!

A few years back I decided to give hearts a chance.  I am not too much for cute things, I like items that have some edge to them, and feel natural.  Though I tried my hand at hearts, and fell in love with them.

I began to make them grungy, and edgy.  I realized that they don't have to be all cute and sunshine.  They can have holes in them, be made of stone, stripped down to a bare state, and they can be re-built.  They can be bright, and radiate, fun and whimsical- and they can represent us all, and our hearts journey.

I often make beads and think of specific people i know, people whom it reminds me of, or whom I know would like it.  It's fun to create while thinking of the people in my life!  Some of you totally inspire me to create new things!

Berks Bead Bazaar is only 4 weeks away, and I still have a lot of beads to make.  I mean, A LOT!  (not freaking out yet- talk to me in 2 weeks and I will be though)

(Berks Bead Bazaar has a main website you can check out here, and a new facebook page as well!  so you can keep up to date with the artists and vendors going to the show!)

I am going to try to list a little bit of new inventory each Friday for those of you who can't make it, but in all honesty, I bet this week and next will be it until after the show.

So check the shop Friday for hearts and some other goodies, and don't forget- I now have my tutorial, Painting on Polymer: The Crackle glaze Technique available for purchase in there as well.
