Sea Glassin Time!

The Lewes DE Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival is about a month away.  Time to crack the whip and make more sea glass jewelry.  I need to make LOTS of bezels and drill lots of sea glass.  Pairing the glass for earrings is always an overwhelming task, but one I must do.  I do love to see all my glass out on the table.  But I need to start drilling about an hour a day to drill enough for the show.

Here is an hours worth of drilled sea glass.

Here is the collection to go through.

Here is a pic with my hand for size comparison.

I have my work cut out for me.

So glad I love it.

  1. Wow! That is the mother load of sea glass! Did you find it all yourself or was some purchased. I have found maybe 10 pieces at most in my life! What a gorgeous collection!

  2. I purchase it. I find that when I acutally find sea glass I just want to keep it. I have some good sources in PR, scotland and CA.

  6. I love sea glass but have never drilled any. Once on vacation I tried to talk my family into letting me seach for sea glass while visiting the great lakes, but I was outvoted.....

I can't wait to see what you make with all these gorgeous pieces of glass.

    1. Thanks Lori. Lisa Peters owns that piece. It was kinda a collaboration of sorts. She did the raku beads and the red enamel piece that says artist and wanted it paired with my cuff. I just assembled it all:)

  10. Wow! Lots of work, but what a pleasure to enjoy your work. I could have lots of fun with that sea glass as well! So glad that you mentioned the show. I'm only about 30 mins from Lewes, I'd love to slip up so I could meet you and see your work in person. We will see, as I don't go to Lewes to much after Memorial Day.
