Big Hole Donut Blog Hop

I was lucky enough to win one of Kristi's big hole donuts (Dream Some on etsy) so I could participate in her blog hop.  I almost never use components in polymer or metal clay that I do not make, because I like to be able to tell my customers I made all the metal and polymer pieces in my jewelry.  But these, OH these, I just had to have.  And don't worry, its not going anywhere, its mine all mine.

So I got mixed up on blog hop dates and made my Bohemian Inspired Blog Event Piece with Kristi's donut, because I thought they were the same weekend.  Alas, they were not, so here is my piece, again (sorry).  I absolutley love it.  I love the bright shiny orangy copper, I love the block like print flower on it, and I love the colors I chose to contrast it (greens are some of my favorite colors).  I wear it often, and hope you like it too.

You can hop on a long to see what everyone else did with their components.  I can't wait to see what else was dreamed up for this blog hop.  These donuts are gorgeous enough on their own.

I always enjoy your attention to detail, and this piece was no exception. Right down to the green cording showing off the detail on the donut. This is truly a gorgeous design.

I love what you did your yours! And it was clever to make it work for two hops, even if they weren't on the same day. ;-)

  20. I love your work Staci. Every piece. You're one of the very few jewelry artist that I instantly recognize your work. It has such perfect balance between man and nature. Even though it's primitive in style, it's executed with such grace and elegance. This piece really would work well with an evening gown,or a swimsuit.
